"Millionaires don't use astrology, billionaires do."
- J. Pierpoint Morgan

 For Astrology 101 I'd like to discuss a few things;

 With the advent of the P.C. so popular in every home;
programs up the wazoo and the like, there really
isn't much need for people to be taught how to erect a proper natal chart.
Just like it's nice to know how to hand add columns of numbers;
if you have a calculator why bother to do it the hard way?

I feel the need for astrological theory is far greater
than the need to teach the mechanics . The trouble is no one
seems to be teaching it. They feel you should learn
Astrological Mechanics and "take it from there yourself ".
Geez, that's a lot of help! I'm gonna do both for ya.
All I ask is that if you're doing this you stay with me
because it's gonna appear pretty squirrelly at first for awhile
and I don't need ya'll out there thinking I don't
know my Astrological butt from a hole in the ground.

Why bother to learn astrological theory? Good question.
Hey, why bother to check the weather when you leave the house?
So you will be prepared to protect yourself from harm, discomfort and not
look stupid cause you're the one at the bus stop soaking wet
shivering like a dog trying to pass a peach stone. Just these alone are
pretty good reasons, not to mention the tremendous benefits reaped from
understanding people and predicting their actions and reactions
along with feathering your own nest on the way.

So I guess the best thing to do is get started.
The first thing you're gonna have to do is memorize the approximate
dates of the signs. It's a requirement to do some memorizing; sorry.
I say " approximate " dates because the exact time the sun changes signs
varies slightly from year to year ( leap year adjustments ).
These variations are seen in hours but sometimes
spill over the midnight mark and cause a different day
on the calendar to appear in the time listings. It's as simple as that.
If you see a list of dates that varies by more than a day
from the norm you've hooked into a lemon and should
consider the source you drew it from again.

The "solar year" runs from
March 20th of one year to March 19th of the next year.
This is a cycle in Mother Nature
(any Swallow in Capistrano can tell you that ).
The twelve "sun signs" in their proper order are;

Aries

Taurus

Gemini

Cancer

Leo

Virgo

Libra

Scorpio

Sagittarius

Capricorn

Aquarius

Pisces

3/20-4/19

4/20-5/20

5/21-6/22

6/23-7/22

7/22-8/22

8/23-9/22

9/23-10/22

10/23-11/23

11/24-12/22

12/23-1/19

1/20-2/18

2/19-3/19

The next thing we need to take a look at for your work with me
is the first main division of the twelve sun signs.
This would be the four element groups;
Fire, Earth, Air and Water.
There are three sun signs in each group....
(think of them as delegates attending a convention).

From the illustrious state of Fire,
we have Leo, Sagittarius and Aries

From the down home land of Earth
we have Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn

Representing those all-around-town Air signs
we meet Gemini, Libra and Aquarius

Sailing in from the state of high seas are the Water signs
Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces

Thank You , Thank You , Thank You Very Much!!!!

Now that we're all here let's talk about which of each of these delegates
is the most dominant. Seems normal to expect that even though
they are from the same state they would be various degrees
of the same kind of person, yet similar......
now your gettin' it.

Well there's always the Big Wig - the one who does the best talking,
likes to take over, lead the rest, etc. Well there's one from each state......

From the illustrious state of Fire - Leo
Down home Earth - Taurus
All around Air - Aquarius
Captain of the Water - Scorpio

Then there are those who take life a little less seriously,
let others lead and bust there butts up in front of the crowd,
catching the tomatoes of disapproval in the face;

Fire - Sagittarius
Earth - Virgo
Air - Gemini
Water - Pisces

The ones in the middle seem to possess traits of both groups.
They like to lead (from a distance) they like to be in charge
(as long as they don't answer all those questions)
they like to be left alone (but Never forgotten about).

Fire - Aries
Earth - Capricorn
Air - Libra
Water - Cancer

You have just learned the twelve sun signs of the Zodiac
(in their proper order and with their proper approximate dates)
The Quadruplicity of the twelve signs (elements: fire, earth, air and water)
The Triplicity of the twelve signs (Fixed, Mutable and Cardinal)

Wasn't that painless!!!!!????!!!

There are just a few more preliminaries before we can get down to theory.
We'll keep these lessons in the archives so ya'll can come
on board any time and catch up.

Any questions just Email us here. We'll do our best.
Anything you'd like to see we'll give that a whirl too.
So long for now ...Happy Surfin'
BYE for now!!!
